FAQ for Ameena Mattress

Why should I choose the Ameena mattress over others?

Our mattress has not only been designed by industry experts, but also priced in an affordable range. Check out the mattress itself to see and understand the benefits of each foam that we've chosen. Plus, we donate a mattress for every mattress purchased.

What's the value of a research-based product like the Ameena mattress?

We've designed our mattress according to customers' needs for comfort and affordability. Extensive objective research, plus lots of personal trials, have been the basis for the mattress's construction, so you're getting a product that has been engineered with real people in mind. It's designed to feel comfortable to the largest demographic, making your shopping experience super easy. Just point, click, order—and better sleep is yours.

How does the Ameena mattress feel?

We've designed our mattress to fit the comfort preferences of most consumers—not too soft, but not too firm. Its medium comfort is the direct result of our consumer research, which showed that most people want to sleep on a mattress that combines firm underlying support with a soft initial feel for pressure relief.

Where do you manufacture the Ameena mattress?

From the sewing of the cover to the pouring of the foam and synthetic Energex, every part is made and assembled in America.

Does the mattress sleep hot?

Our mattress won't sleep hot because we've chosen foams designed to diffuse body heat. The specific gel memory foam that we are using, ThermaGel™, draws heat away from your body to help you sleep at a comfortable temperature.

What are the dimensions of the mattress?

Twin: 39 x 75 x 10
Twin XL: 39 x 80 x 10
Full: 54 x 75 x 10
Queen: 60 x 80 x 10
King: 76 x 80 x 10
California King: 72 x 84 x 10

How much does the mattress weigh?

These are the rough weights for each mattress size:

Can I flip the mattress?

Like most modern mattresses, the Ameena mattress cannot be flipped over, because the bottom layer of support foam is different than the top layer of synthetic Energex.

Will the mattress have an odor?

All mattresses have an odor, especially any mattress that contains memory foam. This is called off-gassing, and it's nothing to worry about. It happens simply because the mattress is packaged so quickly after production is finished. We suggest letting the mattress air out before you put you bedding on it, because this will help a lot of the smell to dissipate.

Will I be able to feel my partner move on the mattress?

Our mattress cuts down on motion transfer by using both gel memory foam and Energex. Any motion that you feel is minimized because we don't use springs in our mattress. Unfortunately, it's not possible to totally eliminate all motion in any mattress because of the cover and the bedding, but our special design goes a long way in reducing it.

We deliver to the continental US only. Army Post Office (APO), Fleet Post Office (FPO) and Post Office Box addresses are not accepted.

How big is the box?

Please note additional time maybe be required for remote zip codes. Please feel free to contact one of our sleep experts to confirm your transit time. Every mattress ships via UPS directly to you.

Can I specify a delivery date?

Is Ameena easy to set up?

It's super easy to set up. Just unbox it, cut open the packaging, and let it unroll. Your mattress should be sleep-ready in about an hour.

Once I take it out of the box, how long does it need to break in?

Once you remove it from the packaging, it should expand immediately so that you can sleep on it within 24 hours.

Do I need a box spring?

As long as it's on a flat, smooth surface, the Ameena mattress can go anywhere. So if you want to use a box spring, you can. If you want to use a platform bed, you can. Even if you want to put it straight on the floor—you can.

How safe is the mattress?

The Ameena mattress has been tested according to strict US standards, especially in regards to flammability, according to 16 CFR 1633 and 1632. Not only has the Ameena mattress been put to the test, it has passed with flying colors.

Our mattress features a fire-retardant sock designed to subdue flames by forming a layer of char. This keeps oxygen from feeding the fire so that it doesn't spread to the foams.

Can I clean the cover?

We recommend spot-cleaning only. If you take off the mattress's cover, it may shrink in the wash, resulting in a cover that no longer fits.

Can I use a heating pad on the mattress?

Yes, you can use a heading pad. The Ameena mattress can be used and cared for just as you would a traditional mattress.

Is there memory foam in Ameena?

Yes, there is. We use a gel memory foam in our mattress, so you get the motion reduction of memory foam without the heat retention.

Will I be able to sleep on Ameena if I have a latex allergy?

Latex allergies aren't a problem with the Ameena mattress. We use a synthetic called Energex, so you get all the bounce and contouring of traditional latex, without any of the allergic reactions.

What is my warranty?

The Ameena mattress is backed with a full 15-year non-prorated warranty, covering a body impression of 1 inch. So if your mattress experiences any manufacturer's defects in the next 15 years, we will replace it for free!

How does the 120-Night Risk Free Trial work?

If you find that you don't like your Ameena mattress, you can contact us within the first 120 nights. We will refund your money and pick up the mattress for free.

To start the process, email us at service@ameenamattress.com and we'll be happy to help.

What happens to the mattress if I return it?

Our policy is guilt-free, because every returned mattress gets donated! So if you don't like your Ameena, you don’t have to worry about it going into a landfill. Once a mattress is purchased, someone is going to use it.

Should I use a mattress protector?

The Ameena mattress quilt is not designed to be removed and washed. Purchasing a mattress protector, especially a waterproof one, is the best way to protect your sleep investment and prevent the warranty from being voided.
